How do you EASILY install a Lenz 1014 JST into a a Proto 1000 RDC ? ? ?

No problem, but really I am just the messenger. The work and photos is not mine, just a web page that I found googling around the web. The cudos should be for the person that took the trouble to put up the web site.
I just did one with a hard-wired decoder for a customer. Unfortunately don’t have a camera right now so I can’t get good pictures. Because of the length of the unit, I used the stock circuit board’s track connections - I left the rear truck pickups connected to the board, and conencted the red and black decoder wires to the circuit board along with the front truck pickups. Those connections were soldered for reliability - no more plastic clips. I replaced the front and rear lights with 5mm golden-whites, and I think it looks great, nice and bright headlights. I used an NCE D13SRJ decoder.
