A few days ago someone gave the address of a web site that locates photos of buildings throughout the USA. It listed different cities, which you could bring up on a GPS map and then zero in on one particular building and it would display the photo of it.
I was in a hurry and thought I bookmarked it but I could not find it again.
I want to download photos of industrial buildings such as factories, warehouses, loading docks, etc. to be used for a background on my layout.
If anyone remembers the site or any other site like that I would really appreciate it.
I know this doesn’t do the OP any good, but I though you may find the below site interesting, Tomkat. We spent a few years in the St Louis metro area while stationed at Scott AFB. I always loved the buildings there… http://www.builtstlouis.net/
I have been to http://www.builtstlouis.net/ quite a few times…It is sad that alot of these buildings are getting worse…but there is some good news…the old St Louis Hospital & now the old Lemp Brewery are being renovated. Please check out my link on old St Louis photos from 1914-1917.
Sorry to post old info. I would love to go under the Lemp brewery (tunnels). I could have sworn I heard somwhere that somebody was doing something with it, so it is good to hear that confirmed.
I will check out your link. Thanks!!
Edit: BTW, isn’t the hospital being turned into luxury condos or something like that?
