PRR Region Clarification

I have been considering purchasing a Bowser N5 PRR Cabin, and cannot decide which one I want. Being relatively unversed in PRR Jargon, I cannot decide on the region I want. I would prefer a cabin that fits-in with the Harrisburg/Cresson/Altoona areas, so if anyone knows what cabins would be appropriate for those areas, I would like to know. All information will be appreciated.

Sounds like the Middle Region…

What era are you modeling? PRR did end the regional thing and used the cabins system wide in pool service.

The Division/Grand Division/Regions changed through the years. The Harrisburg/Altoona/Cresson areas usually were operated under the Eastern Region. Areas just to the west like Pittsburgh were part of the Central Region. But, depending on years and paint schemes, there are other ‘Regions’ that may have been in play. I think you are safe with either Eastern or Central Region letter(or to be safe - NO Region stencil!).

Myself, I have toyed with building a PRR branchline in the Bellefonte/Snow Shoe area which would be in the Northern Region. Perhaps some PRR experts can speak up here.

Eastern Region, Middle Division. Not that I’m a PRR fan, but more that I know the Bellefonte Central and its relationship with the PRR
