PRR T1 BLI derailing issue

I have a 2011 BLI PRR T1, and its giving me grief. The leading 4 wheeled truck keeps derailing over some switches which then derails the articulated sets with blind drivers. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution to it?

OK, it derails on some turnouts and makes it thru others? If so, I’d double check the turnouts upon which it derails with the NMRA gauge. Rails out of gauge, wing rails too close or too loose, switch machines failing to pull the points up tight to the stock rails, flange ways too shallow. Steamers are more picky about trackwork than diesels. Check the wheel gauge on the locomotive. Consider adding some lead weights to the pilot truck.

Ill have to try the gauge first before the weight, but thanks for the tips.

Just to add to David’s tips: Put Your Loco on a sheet of glass, like a mirror and try to slide a sheet of paper under all the wheels. If they are OK, then like David suggested about Your track work at switches, You could also possibly have a switch or two not sitting perfectly level and one of wheels lifts and or dips at that spot.

Good Hunting![:D]
