PSC HOn3 shay brass kit, how hard to build

How difficult are the PSC brass shay kits to assembly. I have soldered brass before when repairing my other brass engines. But I have never seen one of these kits up close. Anybody have one or that is building/built one on here that can relate thier experiences? MIke

Although I have a couple PSC Shay’s I have never been able to get one in kit form. They look well engineered, & even better finished. Any tips I would have would be; use as little solder as possible, flux the joints always, & jig the parts whenever possible. It may seem like an extra step, but it is better than trying to ‘fix’ a misalignment. With the Shays, alignment is everything. One of mine has the cylinder engine assembly slightly ‘off’ & it runs rougher than the ones that are straight & square.
