Pssst...hey, dingoIX (new CGW F3)

…thought you might want to get a look at these beauties, maybe even order a set from Lombard Hobbies (its a special run, for them only):

Argh…now I want two…Evan! You corrupted me!

They are beautiful[:D]. FYI, they’re F5s. I might just have to get a set (but intermountain is coming out with CGW FP7As and F7Bs and P1K is comin out with CGW F3 AB sets)

Its F5, not F3. There is a diffrence, one destroys more than the other, oh, wait, wrong F5 and F3…

I wish they will give me a break, frist Athearn coming out with M.St.L. F3’s & F7’s now this.

LOL, tell me about it. I want to get an ABBA set of the P1K F3s, CGW FP7A and F7B w/o sound form Intermountain, and a BLI CGW NW2 w/ sound.

The are classified as F5’s by CGW, but when they were new, they were F3A’s.

Does anyone know what modifications caused them to be re-classified???

Hmmm, I never even knew there was such a thing as an F5 [:I] - can’t say I’m all that surprised though! Must be something to do with upping the horsepower…[?]

Some late F3s had F7 traction motors, and were nicknamed F5s. Technically I think they’re still F3s.

Dingoix Kato Maes or made a CGW RS2 its in the maroon scheme but ya may be interested

Kato makes / made a CGW (HO) RS-2 in the as-delivered paint scheme, not the maroon dip (which usually looked brown)

BLI is coming out with a NW 2 in CGW scheme? , and yes to your E mail I’m a fan of the CGW along with M. St.L.and CNW.

Yep. It’s in the ‘as devilvered’ scheme. doesn’t come out till next month, I believe.

Just a heads up, Atlas just announced another run of their HO GP7s in CGW.

Atlas needs to do a NC-6 Caboose in CGW scheme like this one. To go with their GP 7.

Jonathon, I just found out about the GP7 as it was just announced a few days ago. I’m definitly getting one [:D](maybe 2) despite the fact that both GP7s (actually, the #120 was caught in a fire and rebuilt with a GP9 long hood and batterybox and I think the Atlas model represents this) wore the bright red paint in '68 (the year I model)
