Ok was at Tampa’s union station (theres a joke by itself ) and saw this pullman car on a siding it said pullman car # 2700 and Florida Sunrise on its side? Reading alittle further it says the car belongs to the Florida Gulfcoast Railroad Museum, and is going to be added to a static display at the station ? Anyone know what other rolling stock they have or any info on this ? Yes I plan to look up the museum in question.
In the Pullman roster that I have there was a Florida Sunset and Florida Surf (both originally to the NC&StL, 4Rmt5DbrCpt4Sec), but no Sunrise. Maybe you’re 12 hours off. (That’s my joke. [:)]) BTW, was it a streamlined car?
You know funny as this sounds , no I don’t believe it is a streamlined car. The museum staff has sent a reply to my e-mail stating the car is awaiting funding to repair the brakes. At which time it is to be moved to Parrish Fla. to be added to the museum rolling stock. Not sure if its going to be used or just displayed.
