In the 1938 photo note the NKP roundhouse, also used by C&O of Indiana. The “street” that runs between the roundhouse and Pullman Jct. was actually Chicago City Railway(Chicago Surface Lines/CTA) private right-of-way, part of the 93rd-95th streetcar line.

If I follow you correctly, is that E 94th Street?
Or, the diagonal street to the east of the roundhouse?

Both of the streets are former CSL ROW. Flaggers required crossing the NKP.

Pullman always was a gritty area. I had no idea about the CTA activity out there. I need to read up on that. Thanks, rcdrye.
