Pulp and Paper Mill Backdrop picture - need help

Hey Gang
I am looking for a backdrop of a Pulp and Paper mill. What I would like to get a hold of is a full mill landscape picture in either of the following:

  • A mega-pixel digital image (jpeg) of the plant
  • A actual backdrop image on a roll of paper.

I have looked on the various vendor sites for a suitable backdrop. Nothing suitable was available. I live literally 100’s of miles from a real plant or I would go and take the photo myself.

Any one out there help me on this?

Thanks

Have you tried Backdrop Warehouse? They have photo backdrops of many scenes, and may have something that you could use.

"Have you tried Backdrop Warehouse? " unfortunately no Pulp and Paper products

Check out allposters.com . Item # 2600444. I believe there are a couple other shots in there as well. Haven’t looked in a while. A bit pricey for me.

@Hedz Hufferz Interesting, yes they are a bit pricey. I would need to have more of side view of the plant. Thanks for the idea though

Have you tried blending together pictures from google maps roadside view? Don’t know if it will work or not, just an idea.

Industries1, I sent you a pm re your backdrop question.

@Bryan B. Not sure what a “pm” is, Bryan. Thanks for any help though

I have looked at a few but the resolution is too low to get a decent backdrop from one. Thanks for the idea though.

PM is a private message sent to you. You’ll find it in Messages in the block where manage profile and settings are. On the right top of the screen.

Take Care! [:D]

Roger,

Do a Google search with the title heading,‘‘Pulp and Paper Mill Images’’, there are many pic’s of what you are asking. If you find one you like, you may be able to copy and take it to a place that will do it for you. Also on that same page are places that you can ask for help on how to get what you want printed.

Good Luck!

Frank

I have found a “Blended Photo” that I am using

Here is a photo of the backdrop (just a test fit on the background)

You have to be a member of the group to view your link, so I’ve always found Frank’s suggestion to work. At least you can get great ideas to draw / paint your own, or use a combo of pics / posters and hand painted.

Mike.

I’m not sure if you’re looking for a mega-industry or a smaller, more local one. This facility is located in Maine.

(Sorry, can’t embed the image from Google Maps.)

I will be driving by there over the weekend. If this is the kind of thing you’re looking for, let me know and I’ll try to get some pictures. The rail line through the scene is the St. Lawrence and Atlantic, which is still active. I don’t know if the industry is rail-served, but it might be.

Per Google, there are three paper facilities in the Denver area. I’m familiar with the one at Brighton Blvd., Commerce City, which made recycled paperboard.
