I am planning to model a pulpwood loading yard and would like to know if anyone has pictures or other information about the loaders used to load pulpwood sticks on bulkhead flat cars. I remember watching them in the 70’s but I can’t find a thing on the internet about them. They basically resembled large forklifts with chains used to secure a group of sticks. If anyone has pics or info, please let me know! Thank you in advance…

Some of the kit vendors have logging grapples that you may be able to kit-bash into something like what you remember. Didn’t see any with chains, though. Good luck.
