Has anyone ever purchased anything from discounttrainsonline.com?
I have been thinking about making some purchases and wanted to hear feedback if you have made a purchase.
Are they friendly? Do they have decent customer service? Did you receive your products in the time quoted on the website?

IF…“search” were working properly, you could do one…IF…because we had a substantial thread on this about four or five weeks ago (that would be about 60 pages back).

I called them up and asked to combine shipping on two orders and they did so without a problem.
Usually took about 7-10 days to ship.
I bought 20 hoppers from them, awesome service, they emailed me with a shipping price.
Packaged well and was prompt.

I’ve ordered from them a few times. The quoted price was accurate, and everything showed up in the box, well protected. I ended up with a massive quantity of plastic packing noodles. They provide an estimated ship date, which has been accurate, and shipment tracking information. They do seem to take a long time to get the package out the door, though, but that’s my only complaint.
I like their site, for those who haven’t been there, because it’s got a good search engine, and they have pictures of most items. They have a fixed-price $6.95 shipping fee, which is reasonable for modest orders.

I bought from them several times, always good service.
One of my favorite online places to shop for trains. They have a good selection.
I have also bought from them several times, no problems at all. I say the shipping time for me was fine, about 5 days from California to me in Pennsylvania, great prices too.
I have ordered from them. They gave me prompt, reliable service and good prices. I agree that their search engine is good as they have pictures of most items.
