Does anyone know of a good source of H.O. Backdrops, depicting a hilly to mountainous scene, like the front range of the Canadian Rockies and the foothills. Difficult to find anything half decent here in the U.K. CPPedler
you might want to check walthers background scenes
good luck

Walthers has some large size backdrops (3’ or so high) depicting mountains. I think they are of European manufacture. Others are about half that height.

Another good source, which I forgot to mention in this morning’s post, is Scenic Express.
They have a selection of 16 excellent photoposters, 13"x 38" in size, ranginging from dense urban scenes, to industrial, clouds, Eastern hills in autumn, and large wooded mountains. They are quite inexpensive compared to many I’ve seen. Of course, the sky can be cut out and only the physical scenery used. I’m using some as background for a large city scene.

Now this may seem a little vague, but there is an outfit out of Salt Lake City that does fully digital things, You can get mountian scenes and things, its pretty much wallpaper, but i believe you can get it in on other media too, They have a great one of the Wasatch mountians. Once I find then name of the outfit that does them I will post it.
CPPedler,
Quoting from his/her advert in the NG&SLG, “Museum quality backrounds from 3’ high to any width. Eight different Colorado scenes to choose from. Send self addressed stamped envelope for brochure. E. E. Van Pelt, P. O. Box 998, Nokomis, FL 34274” I’ve not seen his/her product, but the photo in the advert is nice. No Web site address given.
