QNS&L Passenger Video

Here is a video I came across on the remote northern Canada iron hauler that I didn’t realize had a passenger service run by a First Nations group to connect with their even more remote line. It’s by our old friend Harrison.

Thanks for sharing. While it is true that there are no highways that go from Sept-Iles to Labrador, there are dirt roads that connect these areas. But I have no doubt that the train provides a smoother ride :slightly_smiling_face:.

They are only dirt for a short period of the year.

Question -

How many tons of Iron Ore (in general) does it take to make a ton of finished steel?

QNSL operates many more trains that I, intellectually, would have given it credit for.

It depends on the grade of the ore, and if it has been concentrated. My recollection is that taconite pellets is about 65% iron.
