Wondering if the chip upgrade was worth it. Any comments from anyone that has this engine type?
Open up the loco and read the number on the chip. If you see a 7 anywhere, then you already have the upgrade chip.
If you have a chip that says 1.06, then, absolutely get the upgrade. You get a few more features, including sound programmability.
