Are Quality Craft Models any good? Are they comparable to Red Ball? Thanx.

I consider them one step above Red Ball. To me they have a better quality in the metal casting and the kits are complete with all you need.

Quality Craft once produced a S scale line, I’m in the process of assembling six of these kits and the quality is very good, comparable to the 30 Ye Old Huff n Puff reefers i’ve stashed away awaitng assembly. Personally, I enjoy working with wood kits.

I went ahead and bid on and won a MoPac express boxcar. I appreciate the insight. If they are better than Red Balls, I think I will be happy. The kit is unbuilt and complete. I sure love these older kits. At least there is a challenge and the satisfaction that comes with that.
