I’m interested in possibly adding the horse car/corral to my 027 layout. Not sure but it looks like the 3356 set-up uses “0” track. The main concerns would be the height of the track and power rails of the contactor. Has anyone adapted this to their 027 track layout and how was it accomplished?
If its new, it will have what you need for 0 or 027,however I do not think it will work with Fastrack. If it will, I’m sure someone will let us know.
Rick,
On the bottom of the platform should be 4 rubber feet. They can be inverted to adjust for the height of your track. It was designed to be used with “O”, “O27” and “Super O”. I had one but got rid of it. It never seemed to work correctly. A few horses would go in, but never came out. I traded it for something else. The kids seemed to like it though.
Hope this helped.
I use my horse corral with O27 track. This accessory is a bit finnicky to get adjusted just right, but is enjoyable to watch when working correctly.

The Horse car is designed to work with both 0 and 027 track. If you lost the installation instructions you can download them on Lionel’s website. As Ed said it is just adjusting the height. For anyone who thinks it does not work with FasTrack they obviously have not tried it. It works great with FasTrack. I installed one on my FasTrack layout and even use Legacy to control it and it works great as long as it is adjusted right.
Sir James,
It can work with FasTrack. You would need a operating track section and a seperate hookup for the corral. When you “unload” the operating track section and turn on the corral, it all works the way its supposed too.
