Hi,
I am considering purchasing a BLMA Models pre-assembled brass truss bridge and am interested to know whether or not anyone here has purchased one. If so, I would love to hear your opinion about the model. Thanks!

They do look very nice. A bit pricey for me but looks very good. For that money I hope its a foreground item and not the back of the layout. Unless I hit the lottery I guess I will have to stick with the Central Valley truss bridge.

I have two. They are very nice. They are pricey but a real bargain on the brass bridge market. I have a 72’ plate girder bridge that cost almost as much and isn’t nearly as big/fancy.
To be worth spending the money they should be close to the aisle. Mine by necessity are about 24"-30" away but with good lighting the rivet detail is evident. (mine are black.)
I love the Central Valley bridges but every one I’ve seen on many different layouts eventually get wobbly and “fragile”. Maybe no one used the optimum glue for CV’s plastic composition but that persuaded me to go with the brass bridges. If you’re doing a “museum quality diorama” kind of scenicing, the BLMAs are worth the dough. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to know about them.
