I have to be in Port Huron, Michigan this week on business but I have some flexibility in my schedule. Port Huron is where the CN line passes under the St. Clair River and then heads west across the state to the Chicago area. Does anyone have a sense of what the traffic volumes are like on the CN in the Port Huron area? Any time of day better (or worse) than others? I’ve been to Durand, Michigan a few times and there seems to be more traffic early in the day followed by a lull in the afternoon. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ross
There is a Forum especially for Michigan Railroads with members who might be able to give you specifics. I happened across it when running a search about Michigan Railroads.
The eastern traffic from Durand has to head to Port Huron. The trip time could mean that the traffic will be greater in the afternoon in Port Huron.

Thanks for the info. Is the Michigan forum accessible from the trains.com forums?
