Question about 'figure' in November '12 Issue

Anyone with an idea of what brand ‘figure’ (maybe even a part#) that is shown on page 44 of the November 2012 issue of Model Railroader? The figure that is controlling a locomotive by remote…?? I can’t seem to find that figure anywhere in Walthers 2013 catalog, or other places I have looked.

I’d like to get one!

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Why not contact MR directly? Cody will know where the figure came from or whether it is kitbashed or not. I would think it has to be reasonably recent if it has a radio control.

To contact MR click on ‘Our Magazine’ in the black line towards the top of the page and scroll to the bottom of the choices offered. The list of choices is quite long so you may have to scroll the page down to see the bottom of the list.

Niity,

Did you ever get an answer from Cody?

I was looking for figures tonite for my drive in and found these from Scenemaster. They are close

I often see figures in MR photos, that don’t seem to be available from the usual sources.

didn’t he say he made it?

Yes, Cody replied and said he made the figure out of a few different ones… I have since purchased the Walthers Scenemaster modern railroad workers, and there are possibilities with those…

Ah ha, kitbashing figures.

Thanks Nitty for the reply

Derek

The possibilities are endless. Somehow this exchange comes to mind:Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Igor:

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: “You know I am a rather brilliant surgeon. Perhaps I can help you with that hump.”

Igor: “What hump?”
