Does anyone know if the red marker lights on the front of this locomotive, 2 on the nose, and 1 between the number boards, work when the locomotive is going backwards?

A friend has the model and he has had to put the two lights in manually. The engines headlights light up both forwards and backwards. The two front markers lights need to be put in manually. The top one I think would light up due to the fact that its between the number boards, but I don’t know for sure.
