Question: Connecting feeder to bus wire.

My feeders are 20 gauge; the bus is 14 guage. One model railroader suggested 3M 905 connectors; however, these connectors run parallel to one another. What about a “T” connector? Thoughts?
Thank you.

Whatever assures continuity and will accommodate the two wire thicknesses is fine.

If they are for the right wire sizes. Personally I do not trust crimped anything (can;t help it with phone cords for the throttle bus), so I solder all my feeders to the bus. With the big wire you cna break out the 100+ watt soldering gun to make quick work of it. I use those good Ideal wire strippers, the ones with a jaw plus a die with various size holes for different gauge wire, once squeeze and the wire is stripped. They also work in the middle of a wire, like the bus wire, to peel back a section of the insulation without cutting the wire. I then wrap the stripped end of the feeder around the bus and solder. I offset the two connections so they don;t short, but then go back and paint the exposed area with liquid electrical tape.

The 3M connectors work great and make a very easy and neat installation.

The red wire is the feeder.

Thank you, all. I was hoping the 3m product was the way to go.
