Art,
Your layout is beautiful, I took a look at you photobucket pics and it looks great, and that bridge and canyon what can I say!!! Anyway I didn’t see a track plan posted, do you have one posted somewhere? I’d like to see it to get an overall idea of your layout size and such.
Also I’d like some specs on your helix. what is the radius? I see you made it like a spiral so the outer loop radius is larger than the iner. also what is the grade percent???
Thanks…Keep up the great work, you’re a true inspiration…Robert
I don’t have a track plan. The closest I came is when I laid it out on the floor with masking tape. I keep thinking I need one, but I don’t really know how to draw it. I tried the computer programs, but that is not my interest.
The idea is one 4x8 representing northern Minnesota logging. Another 4x8 represents Arizona mine. Those are connected with a 2 x 20 shelf layout representing the Mississippi river valley, southern Minnesota farm country and New Mexico rockhound country, The canyon is in the corner between New Mexico and Arizona.
The prototypes are the memories in my head. I use wormholes to connect time and space.
Thanks for the interest and kind words.
Art,
Thanks I can visualize it better now, kind of an “L” shape I guess. So that helix would be on one end of one of the 4x8’s so outside radius would be about 22-23" I guess.
Thanks again and great looking layout.
Robert
