Question for the Texans on the board

Or for anyone willing to travel. Would you be interested in attending and/or displaying some of your current projects or finished models at a prototype modeler’s meet?

Some questions to ponder.

How far are you willing to travel?

Central site: (Bryan/College Station; Temple; or Waco) or a big city?

Venue: Hotel conference center, school gymnasium, community meeting space?

Requirements for the venue: concessions/food service; exhibitor hospitality room; tables; chairs; security?

Admission charge: free / minimum / maximum you would pay?

What would you want as part of the agenda: clinics; contests; silent auction; layouts?

One day / two day / part of day?

Any thing else you can think of that would make for an enjoyable day with model trains.

I’ve never been to anything like this, unless a Santa Fe modeler’s convention counts. If there is interest, I might give consideration to at least talking about promoting such a venture.

I have nothing to show but sure would be interested in going, as long as it wasn’t down town in some large city like houston.
