Question on a couple of Lionel pre-war cars

I found a couple of tin pre-war Lionel cars(Shell #2680 and Lionel Lines #2682 Caboose).They are in good to very good condition with some light rust spots.I would like to know when they were produced and their current value in this condition .Thanks

thats a hard questiona s it just seems it depends on how auctions are going that night but for info I ve seen them go, in that conditon there for any where from $10.00 to $50.00 each it really just depends on how things are going another factor I could put up a set in excellant condition and maybe just get $25.00 for the pair and 15 minutes later someone like Trainz who is very well know will bring in $65 for the pair so there is so many factors its hard to really say but the age is 1938 - 1942

For what it’s worth:

I paid (overpaid?) $56 for a pair of 2654 SUNX tank cars (one with a broken coupler I didn’t see) condition 6/7.
