Question on Forums Operation

Has anyone figured out how to have the forum display the topics that you have looked at(not necessary read), i.e. premigration to new system the forum operated differntly. By different I mean the color or shade of the Topic titles would show that you have seen. This was a nice feature, sure would like to have this back. Not earth shaking just a personel preference. Not having will not cayse anyscreaming or yelling on my part. Thank you.

Personaly I feel real lost without a spell checker. [2c]

No i do not think there is. There are only ways to see what threads you have posted in and which threads haven’t been answered yet.

I sorely miss a ‘Mark all Read’ button.

Using both IE 6 and FireFox 2 on multiple computers, a thread turns gray when I open the thread. When a new post is added to the thread (by anybody), it goes back to blue. This is similar on all the boards/forums I use. I believe you have to enable cookies and log in at this site for this feature to work.

What trains.com does not do that other forum software does is have the ability to take you directly to the posts in a thread that you have not read. At trains.com, you pick your own starting point in a multi-page thread, which is slightly more awkward. As long you open the thread on any page, it turns gray until another post is added, at which point it turns blue and moves to the front of the forum anyway.

just my experiences
