Question on Lehigh Valley piggyback service trailers

First a little story. A picture of the sign below was sent to me by a long time customer. It is a LV piggyback service sign that is hanging in the train room of one of his friends. The story goes… “The sign fell off of the train at speed, going thru Batavia at Cedar St. in the sixties. It flew over my friends car, he picked it up and has it hanging on his wall.”

Anyway, What I am interested in is more information on these trailers. I searched the internet today and did not find anything that was close to this. I am interested in where these were mounted on the trailers and it there was anything other than these on them. I would like to paint a couple up for my layout. If anybody has any idea where I may find some pictures of information on these please let me know.

Thanks,

I thought I saw an article recently about their early service. They used regular trailers on 40 ft. flats. Will check the magazine index for it.
