Which paint do you use? Need to do grab irons on Walthers express reefer and Athearn baggage cars, seems the US paint brands are not available here in Holland…

Bel eens naar die modelbouw winkel in de strijpse straat in eindhoven. Sorry ik kan niet op de naam komen maar met behulp van nummer informatie moet je er wel uitkomen. Ik dacht dat ik daar wat amerikaanse kleuren had gezien.

Wow, I was actually able to read that! I lived in Antwerp when I was in 5th and 6th grade.
Anyway, you might try Humbrol’s military paints. Pullman green is pretty close to Army green, with a little white paint you should be able to get pretty close.
Antwerp that riminds me . In Antwerp is a American RR club. so they may heve some idee.

@Jay; Once I came come across some apparently home-painted Athearn coaches, apparently someone tried to get close to Pullman green, and he did get close, but I’m sorry to say they looked horrible. That scared me off. With Pullman green, ‘close’ is just not close enough, it has got to be ‘real close’, like 99.9999%, if you want to match them in a consist… So I’d rather get it right the first time around (though of course there can always be small differences, like in reality).
@Franz, bedankt ik ga daar zeker even naar kijken, maar misschien kan ik gewoon de juiste Floquil o.i.d. uit the VS laten komen, ietsje duurder maar wel ‘safe’, ik ga dat even aan mn favoriete ebay-dealer vragen (er staat me iets van bij dat het verboden is verf per airmail versturen maar misschien is dat helemaal niet waar?)

This guy used Floquil to paint his (Dutch) steam engines:

So maybe you can send him an E-mail to ask where he got it.
Ordering it form the "states” depends wetter Floquil is on oil-base or water-base, to be honest I don’t know but bet people on this forum can tell you that.
(If you ask in English of course otherwise they don’t understand)
