Anyone know if the SantaFe ever used the FA diesels, painted in the warbonet
scheme ,for freight service? I thought in their later years, after many years in passenger service the might have been downgraded to freight service without being repainted .

As mentioned in another thread, ATSF had only PA’s and never owned any FA’s. The PA’s kept their passenger warbonnet colors to the end and for all practical purposes, remained in passenger service until they were traded in.
