Question on tinting glass

Hello all, this weeked at the trainshow I purchased an Atherns car kit (a station wagen) Not much to building it but I would like to tint the windows, any suggestions on how to do this ? Thanks Mike

Dry erase marker or colored Sharpie. Color the INSIDE of the glass with these watery markers, making sure to avoid heavy lines across the plastic. I’ve used this technique to tink heavyweight passenger car windows, and it works well.

I believe some folks use the Tamiya clear paints for this.

I use Kelly’s Glass stain, that I picked up at the local craft store.

I used two or three coats of Lime Green for this tower:

Thanks for the input. I will certainly keep these in mind. nbrodar,I remember your post when you did that, Looks good. Mike

I the model car section of the LHS you can get Testors paint that made specifically for the purpose of tinting plastic.

Also, you could go to Wal Mart (or whatever) and get real car window tinting film. One roll would be enough to dozens of buildings.
