I need one any idea where i can get on? i got a used system and it didnt come with a manual.

Try going to MRC’s web site and see if they don’t have a manual for the PA in .pdf format. Most of the DCC manufacturers do.

I did get the pdf one. it is annoying to keep going from my computer to my trains which are in another room. i tried to print the info i needed but i messed that up!! I guess my main problem is how do you delete a loco or reset a decoder after you have programed it?

For resetting a decoder: That would be according to the particular decoder you are using in your locomotive, not your DCC system. Is it also an MRC?

Each decoder manufacturer has their particular method or sequence for resetting their decoders to factory default settings. Here’s a link that should help:

What do you mean by “delete” a loco? If you want to remove it from the stack, call up the loco and press and hold the -1 button for a couple of seconds. This will remove the loco from the active stack of addresses.

What do you want to reset? If you want to reset the decoder to factory values, it depends on the decoder. Most manufacturers have a specific value (often 1) and CV that will reset the decoder back to factory settings, with address #3. For example, if it was a MRC 1650 decoder and you wanted to reset it to factory default settings, you would put the loco on the programming track, call-up CV125 and enter 1. This would reset the decoder. Most current MRC decoders (1634’s, 1638’s, 1650’s) use CV 125 as a reset.

Thank for the info. I am also getting my feet wet so to speak(using Gaugemaster) and little bits like this helps keep the blood pressure even.
