Hey guys, I need some help with Caboose Ground Throws. I have code 83 Atlas Turnouts and was needing to know which ground throw you recommend and what travel? All advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I use the 206s

I know nothing about travel and never really worried about it…I have always use the #202S and it works with C83 or C100.
Looking at my last pack of 202s it says .190 travel.
Not sure what code has to do with it, I have been using 202 with code 100.
Where do you get the 206s. I was unable to find them on the Caboose website. What is the travel on the 206s.
The 206S is the same as the 202S.

For the numbers look under the picture of the stand.
Thanks ya’ll. I’m going to go with the 202s. I really don’t know what the travel has to do with it either. They have anywhere from .165 to .190 travel. I guess that means the Throwbar travel.
Whichever you get, be sure they are sprung throws, Atlas needs the spring to hold them firm. Also, buy milti-packs, I know there are 5 pks, not sure if anyone handles larger ones or not.
Have fun,
Minor correction…they look alike, but the 206S is N scale and has less throw than the 202S.
You are correct. The 105R and 206S are for N Scale and can be used for HO.
The following share the same design 101R,105R,107R,202S,206S and 208S.Only the 105R and 206S has .135" travel for N Scale C80 switch-the Atlas C55 switch requires 222S.
The 202S seems to be the more commonly used HO ground throw.
I started using the 202s but have switched (ha) to the 206s because I think it looks more “to scale” for HO. The 202 is taller than my scale figures when halfway through the travel. Probably a bit difficult for them to operate.
