Questions on using PhotoBucket

I know this has been covered many times in the past but I can’t seem to find the info.

I have set up a PhotoBucket account but still don’t know how to get the photo’s onto this forum. (probable better for you that I don’t!) Any hints will be apprecciated.

Upload a photo onto Photobucket.

You will find a Direct Link. Copy and paste to text box and hit enter.

If you click the IMG tag beneath your photo in Photobucket you can paste the IMG line into your post. That way it will show up for everyone to see without having to click on it.

Yes, that’s the way -easy and simple. Don’t know where previous poster got his information.

Here’s a photo of an old tipple in Colorado that I just posted on another forum, using Photobucket:

Yes, that is the way I use my account; I upload the image, and when it appears as an entry on my account page, I find four ghosted grey lines of html text below each image. The bottom one constitutes a direct link of the kind that virtually all forum software packages will recognize. Click on that fourth ghosted grey line and a yellow flag will open briefly indicating the link has been made. Return, or go to, your intended forum site and simply click in a text box, and paste. There she be when you post the message.

Is there a “help” section on these forums somewhere? I do technical writing as part of my profession and would gladly volunteer some time to document the processes (such as getting photos into your forum posts) if we had a topic area. We do a great job of sharing modeling tips and instructions; sure seems like we could do the same for actual use of the forums. Of course this may change with the new site come Wednesday. Jamie
