Questions re: some late 30s Milwaukee cars

A couple of questions about late 30s ear Milwaukee Road. I assume the Milw. had USRA standard hoppers as modeled by Tichy. What color were they? Black or boxcar red? Also what was a typical number range for them?

Second question: Did Milw. of the late 30s era have any USRA steel sided boxcar rebuilds with Ajax brake housing? If so, any thoughts on representative numbering range? Tichy also models this car.

Thanks!

I will need to do some digging, but I am not aware of USRA twin bay hoppers. They did have copies of the USRA gondola with the drop bottom. They also bought ‘offset’ side hoppers. The Milw bought USRA single sheath box cars(2nd only to PRR), then went on a big buying spree of a different design single sheath box car. By the late 30’s, the Milw was designing/building their own steel freight cars(rib side box cars & cabooses).
