Quick Question about DPM Kits...

I’m looking for some simple downtown style buildings for my Main Street. I tried Walthers Merchants Row I, but it is totally molded as one piece, and I had a lot of trouble painting the windows, etc. separate colors. My Merchants Row III, West Avenue Fire Station, etc. had separate windows I could paint and then install. Are any of the DPM downtown buildings this way? Or are they walls, windows, and trim one single molded piece?

They’re not unlike the Merchants’ Row, in the way that the DPM kits are doors, walls, and windows all in one plastic cast. The detail is pretty sharp, and if you get frustrated, PM me, and I’ll give you some sugggestions![:)]

The 100 series kits have the windows and doors molded into the walls. The 200 series kits, and the modules have separate doors and windows.

Are you saying the Merchants Row I is 3 buildings molded together as one or 3 seperate buildings with molded on windows and details? The cheaper DPM kits have molded on windows but for the $$$ they’re a good deal. I’m pretty good with a brush on the windows though.

Well, Merchants Row I is actually like 4 or 5 different buildings molded as one huge piece. The entire front of the building is one piece. Each side of the building is one piece, and the only other parts in the kit are the roof and a few other details…

Sorry, I got my Merchants Rows switched…I’m talking about M. Row II…
