Hello
I 'm new here. I got back a live steam train (01 locomotive 4kg +01 wagon w/ approx 800 gr ) wich was hidden among a lot of old stuff . It Needs restoration by specialist . Parts with rust , kneaded , pealed paintings . There’s a single write on the side of the wagon saying “ PLM “ and some numbers on the locomotive . It seems to work with some kind of fuel , water gas pressurized or other , don’t know … There’s a tank on thw wagon , a manometer , tubes …
We are planning to send it’s info’s and photos to a specialist for quoting . Do any of you have ideas for me ? Any idea of how much it worths ?
Thanks
Jose
Welcome
Have you tried any other forums by Kalmbach? Not sure even what size or scale that locomotive is. From what you describe you have a British Steam locomotive. Most of the stuff discussed here deals with Lionel or MTH or Atlas in O scale and is electric, on occasion S scale.

locomotive is about 44 cm and wagon 23 cm . Both army green colloured with some gold collored details . would you have a website link for this Kalmbach to provide me ?
thanks !

Try the model railroad forum instead of Classic Toy Trains. Most of us still use the inch and foot measurements and not metric, very confusing to convert to metric.

I will trade you for a toy train locomotive. My email has been down for a week so please reply here. It needs to be O gauge (ride on 32 mm track) and working. I don’t mind rust, paint, dings, etc.
