Good to see another well-managed operating focused company bringing another out of service line back to life.

Great news!

What is going to happen to the locos and other equipment in Chadbourn, NC. I was through there just about a month ago. There were a couple of GP-18s, a highhood GP30 in Southern paint, plus some other locos and rolling stock.

Further on Mr. Hafner’s question and comment. I was looking a this on Google Streetview. You can see the high nose GP-30, and also a GP-9 (I think) in faded Atlantic Coast Line paint with a faded NW over the top of it. Better than most train museums.

I’m happy to see that a shutdown rail line has been rescued from NIMBYS who would love to tear up the rails for another bike trail.

Another rail line rescued from short-sighted granola-munchers that would rather rip it up for yet another YAWN trail!

Good story, good pic, bad caption - should read “an R J Corman crew in western Ohio…”

Good news indeed!

Would like to see Corman develpoe a dinner train from Myrtle Beach, S C to at least Whiteville N C

Corman SEEMS to be making a number of right moves. It probably doesn’t get the publicity it’s deserving of. It goes about making moves fairly quietly, at least they don’t appear to be getting mention in the commonwealth’s largest city’s press and media outlets.

Showing a map of the property would be a lot more useful and informative than using a shot of a crew working on a different property 500 miles away.
