Radial Arm Saws

I’m trying to build a lumber yard on my Ho scale layout.

I would like to have a radial arm saw as part of it but can not find one.

Does anyone know where one can be purchased.

Thanks

Also I believe the Atlas lumber yard kit comes with one.

Hi

This may be what you are looking for, the problem is I don’t remember what the brand is. I bought it at my local hobby shop.

Good luck

That’s the Atlas kit. The RAS is on the bench under the on the side. I am using this kit since my son built it when he was about 8. I’ll add Cal’s Lumberyard by E L Moore and use this as a lumber rack in the back when done.

Just a side note, lumber yards used to have some pretty significant equipment compared to the BORG stores of today. The lumber yard where we got stuff as a kid had massive set up for cutting to length. There were two saw blades, each about 3 feet across on a single shaft. They could be set to any distance between them by the operator. There was a chain drive that fed lumber in. The operator just dropped lumber on the chain and let it feed through. Not a guard in sight. Now days they couldn’t run that saw and would never let a kid in the shed with it.

Hey, cool. I didn’t even know they existed as a company! That takes care of a bunch of detail things I’ll be needing in the future.
