radio control

hello I’m french.

With a radio control on board my locomotiv can run on a DC control if I would for an exemple on my freind layout?

A radio control useDC or AC power? If I can use the two power what is the best?

The “Aristo Craft On board Train Enginere” can be ran off of batteries or Track power.
Both modes are radio controle.

I believe that all G scale RC is DC. corect me if im wrong.

Sincerely
Philip

Philip,
Like most other battery R/C systems, when a trackside TE is to be used on board a loco and be powered by a constant voltage on the track, you must fit a bridge rectifier with suitable filtering between the track pick ups and the TE itself. Otherwise when the loco is running the opposite way it cannot pick up power.
With a bridge rectifier in the loco on the track pick ups it will not matter if the constant track power is AC or DC.
