I just got a new scanner. Does anyone know the frequencies for Norfolk Southern and CSX. Thanks.
You may try radio shack or any amaturer ratdo store they have (and some bookstores have a commincations magizines
NS and CSX freqs vary by location and they use multiple freqs in the same locale for different functions.
Kalmbach sells a pretty good book of freqs. You should be able to order it at this web site somewhere.

Not knowing what part of the country you live in it might be a crap shoot looking for the right ones. I have narrowed down the list to a few that I have found to be the most used.
Norfolk Southern
Dispatch to train channel 2 160.245
Train to dispatch channel 2 160.830
These two are used together and you will have to scan both to hear both sides of a conversation.

The four dispatcher freq. are used in pairs with the one road freq. so you may have match them for the area you are trying to hear.
I have also found that NS uses repeaters so you can hear them from a greater distance. I’m about 100 miles from Chicago and I can hear NS in and around their yards. Of coarse I do have an outside ant. which helps. Good luck Scanning.
