How about flyers / informational packets distributed to local high school teachers in areas of interest: welding, carpentry, computer science, art. Include a list of projects needed by the organization students could help with, and rules for teenage members.

We actually have a shop class at Sandia High School here in Albuquerque working on restoration of a narrow gauge flat car. We moved it from Chama via truck to the school. Great learning experience.
