Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to by certain cars at National Steel Car and Greenbrier. I curious to know how much railroads, leasing companies and industries have to fork over for the cars they use.
It depends on the car type. The CN just received a group of centerbeams and paid 75 k each. cars are getting pricey , no wonder RRs aren’t buying.

How much are 60 foot Highcubes, 50 foot boxes, 3 bay centerflows and the coilcars from National Steel Car?
Also I was wondering about Greenbrier’s Twinstack well cars, 53 foot well cars, automax cars, autoracks and the gondola?
I am running a freelanced model railroad and would be interested on getting the numbers and than for a hoot share the grand total if the cars were not HO.
Box cars 60,000 to 75,000 per car
5 pack twin stacks 250,000 +
Single 53 well car 85,000 +
covered hopper 65,000 - 75,000
coil gon 60,000 +
These are rounded off figures would need to know more info.
100 ton or 110 ton etc
