Railfan book lending library

Would you be interested in a Railfan Book Lending Library that worked something like this:

  1. Pay a deposit of $100, that is refundable after six rentals.
  2. For a $15 per book fee, be able to “borrow” a railfan orientated book for 4 weeks.
  3. The book is mailed to you at no extra charge. You mail it back at your expense.

I would, for example, be willing to pay $15 to be able to enjoy a book for a month that I might be hesitate to pay $60 to own.

What do you think? Would this run afoul of any copyright laws?

Your local libraries are supposed to be able to get any book you want… you just have to ask. I can’t say anything about any specific library or any book, usually I’m not looking for a book…

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to purchase a book of choice from B/N (Barnes & Noble) or Borders? Then it would be your’s to keep year 'round?

i have purchased all of my railroad books on the santa fe off of ebay got good prices, like i got high green to marceline for $33
and i got 2 santa fe annuals for a $1 a piece!!!
