I’m planning a trip to Tehachapi Pass and the adjacent areas in Lancaster and Bakersfield in the new year and have several questions.

  1. What is the best time of week in terms of action on the pass (ie: trains)?

  2. What is the best time of week to see the San Jaquin Valley railroad in action?

  3. What is the best time of week to see the Trona railroad in action?

  4. Are there any other operations that are worthy of seeing?
