Railfanning Through The Trees

After battling weird weather here in the Pacific Northwest Snow, Sleet, Rain, and Sun all in one afternoon, I was rewarded by getting a glimpse of BNSF # 4723 at Woodland, Washington. I noticed the Microsoft Train Simulator decal on this locomotive which was the second to last DPU in the consist.

Having never seen this locomotive before my curiosity got the better of me and I did a quick internet search, which confirmed the fact that this locomotive was featured in this computer game.

Anyways, enjoy the footage.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Anybody else catch a glimpse of the BNSF # 4723?

Nice shot, and wow, how long was that train? It looks like night was falling before the pushers showed up.

About 3 PM I had the exposure on my camera adjusted for brighter conditions. When the dark clouds rolled in over the 10 minutes it took to shoot the footage, the color temp towards the end of the video got a little darker.

Like I mentioned in my initial post we had weird weather that day.

Thanks for the kind words on the video, the train was about 100 cars long.

That would be cool if BNSF went back to the green BN paint scheme for their locomotives.
