2000-2015… gives a different meaning to 15 year rebuild. I’m glad another mainline stream locomotive will be back in operating condition. I hope they find many opportunities to run at mainline speeds.
I hope that at some point the two big Santa Fe 4-8-4s meet again.
BNSF should charter mainline steam for publicity, 3751, 700, 4449, 261, and now they can use 2926. I’d like to see mainline steam become more popular with class ones for publicity and moral, 3751, 4449, and 261 have pulled employee specials with great success, it would be nice to see a meeting of the 4-8-4 steamers too, that would be amazing! (add 844, and 611, 2100, 6325, 614)
