Hey, does anyone know what happened to the RailPictures.net website? I went there this morning and it doesn’t seem to be there.
I believe they are working on updating the site…my computer indicated the site is “under construction”. Patience and welcome to our forum [#welcome]
Message on another site says that the webhosting company that Railpictures.net uses suffered an electrical fire which damaged their DNS servers. The main hosting servers weren’t damaged. If you have the numerical address of Railpictures.net you are supposed to be able to access it.

UPDATE: Train-Sim.com doesn’t work for me either! The same thing that happened for me with railpictures.net happened to me with train-sim.com. I don’t think those sites are affiliated, so it couldn’t be the same problem, could it? Weird though. [%-)]
So the links work on my computer because I copied, pasted, and activated them?

Ongoing Server & DNS Issues
At approximately 6pm (Eastern Time) yesterday, one of the datacenters at our hosting provider suffered a large explosion, which took out 3 walls, and subsequent fire. Most importantly, noone was injured.
Fortunately, the RailPictures.Net servers reside in the other, unaffected datacenter, and they continue to operate normally. Unfortunately, our hosting provider’s DNS (domain name) servers reside in the affected datacenter, so there are intermittent problems connecting to the RailPictures.Net website since browsers are unable to resolve the domain names to point to the correct server.
We expect this situation to be resolved by this evening. Thank you for your understanding!
