I have a question here, Would a rail power production shell be able to fit a p2k chassis ? I ask this question because I wish to replace a p2k sd60 shell with a rail power productions sd60m shell. Is it possible ? are there any real heavy modifacations ?
The Rail Power shells are designed to fit their frames, but it may be possible to fit one on a P2K frame. There’s only one way to find out.
IIRC The original RPP shells were designed to fit the Athearn SD-40T-2 (tunnel motor) frame. Don’t know how that compares to the P2K SD-60 frame. Later on RPP got into making their own frames.
