Hi all,

I’m planning a railfan trip to see the Delaware-Lackawanna, NYSW,
Finger Lakes RR, the old D&H between Binghamton and Albany and down to
Scranton, the CSX around Lyons, NY and the NS along the Southern Tier.
The problem is I can’t find a current list of RR radio frequencies.
Does anyone out there know a site that has a current list?

The smartest thing to do is,Program “all” of the Freq’s in your Scanner,Then push “Scan”. Allan.

Keep in mind that operating a scanner in a car is not allowed in NYS. They aren’t as aggressive about it as some areas, but it could complicate an otherwise routine traffic ticket (not that you want one of those either).

Depending on when you hit the area, you might be able to catch some action at the Finger Lakes Live Steamers in the Marengo area. You’ll have to do a search - I don’t have any websites handy for them.

Of course, you’re planning on hitting Starucca Viaduct - it’s not far at all from Binghampton and totally awe-inspiring.
