What do initials CMSIP stand for on a marker light?
I can’t find CMSIP on the reporting mark list I use.
CMStP&P is the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific/Milwaukee Road.
You apparently have a real oldie: the Chicago Milwaukee and St. Paul–which became the CMSP&P.
If you’re looking for railroad names here’s a good place to start…
Pick “Railroad Names” from the left side of the website, and go to work.

Look closely at that “I” to be sure it’s not a lowercase ‘t’.
