Finding a name for your RR is one thing, making up a logo is another. I have seen many folks of have their personal RRs logos and many look very believable and realistic. I have spent off/on the past year tring to find something that will help folks to remember the RR without remembering the name, yet something that can be interchangable on modern and older rolling stock. Plus it can be a basic name and used under different branches of the RR at the same time.
Thus after help from a friend Stan Cedarleaf they are finished.
These containers and hopper cars will be under the Grain Services branch of our RR. I’d like to do away with the GRR part, but its been around for a long time discribing what kind of RR it is. Now hopfully the RR will take on a realistic theme.
The bridge, as most people know is a big part of the RR, but now I hope to “span the gap” of GRRers across the country. Or North Table Creek companies is “Bridging the gap for their customer”

Well when it comes to coats of arms totems or logos as is apropreate for your garden railways / railroads
Start by looking at how the real ones do it in your neck of the woods or how it itis done where your railway is suposed to be
For realism don’t put in any reference to G scale or garden railways in the actual railway name.
Then build up the design the English have got it easy pick the garter from thier favorite railway put the railway name in it remove the center design
and replace it with thier own done properly it will look very effective
The garter for the Isle Of man railway company looks particularly flash
and the resident computor whiz types would have no trouble converting it to
the whatever railway company.
